Dave, GAL'S hard working Homing Co-Ordinator, presented GAL's homing figures at the AGM last weekend. These figures cover the 12 month period to 31st October 2004. Dave was pretty disappointed at not breaking the 200 hundred barrier this year but promises to try harder in the next 12 months! Well on the homing front our quiet spell has continued, we have had quite a few applications in recently all with one common theme, CATS! Have you seen the lovely PIP on our homeless dogs page? What a stunner, he's 4yrs old going on 6 months! Today PIP took to the air (no really he did!) Good News from Planet Cadbury. Sam one of GALs latest additions was delivered to his foster kennel in pain with a badly swollen wrist. After visiting the local vet he was diagnosed with a fractured wrist, sadly that wasn't the worst of it. Since I last updated the Blog on 11th July with our 'new homes' update GAL have gone through a bit of a quiet spell. Last year July was really busy and we hoped for the same this year however it got pretty quiet especially through the Glasgow and Edinburgh trade holidays. Thats not to say we put our feet up! The lovely Chorus went to her new home in East Kilbride tonight. A gorgeous, 3yr old Fawn Greyhound bitch, just 4 weeks ago GAL managed to rescue her at the last minute just before she was going to get PTS by her trainer. A very lucky girl! Now if only we could find a home for her kennel mate Noah!
